How to Add Your MLB Team's Schedule to Google Calendar (2026 Season)

How to Add Your MLB Team's Schedule to Google Calendar (2026 Season)

162 games. 26 weeks. Starting in late March and running through October if your team makes the postseason. Baseball season is long, beautiful, and almost impossible to track manually.

The good news: once you sync it properly, you never have to look up when the Yankees or Dodgers play. It's just there, in your calendar, alongside everything else in your life.

One Quirk About MLB Scheduling

MLB teams don't play every single day — there are off days, rainouts (which get made up as doubleheaders), and the occasional schedule adjustment when a game gets postponed. A static .ics download handles none of this. You download the schedule in March, import it, and by June half the postponed games are still showing in your calendar on days when there's no actual game.

SportsCal uses a live subscription that reflects the current confirmed schedule at all times. When a game gets rained out and rescheduled as a doubleheader the next week, your calendar updates. When the postseason bracket locks in and game times are announced, the playoff games appear automatically.

MLB Streaming Is Complicated — Watch Links Help

This is where MLB fans genuinely benefit from having Watch Links. The streaming picture in 2026 looks like this:

  • Apple TV+ — Friday Night Baseball (2 nationally televised games every Friday, free on Apple TV+ with no subscription required)
  • Peacock — Sunday Leadoff Game (one game every Sunday morning)
  • ESPN / ABC — Sunday Night Baseball and select postseason games
  • TBS — Regular season exclusives and postseason coverage
  • FOX / FS1 — Saturday Game of the Week and postseason
  • Your local RSN — The majority of non-nationally-televised games

The Watch Link in each calendar event points to wherever that specific game airs. Nationally televised games link to Apple TV+, Peacock, ESPN, etc. Local games display the RSN.

The Setup

  1. Search for your team at sportscal.io
  2. Tap Add to Google Calendar
  3. Confirm the subscription
  4. The rest of the 2026 season populates automatically

You can also use Calendar Collections if you want to follow multiple teams — useful for NL East fans who want to track the Mets and Yankees, or anyone whose fantasy team spans multiple rosters.

What About Spring Training?

Spring Training games aren't included in the subscription — those are exhibition games without a consistent schedule. The subscription starts with Opening Day and runs through the World Series.
